There are over 3 million reptile sites listed on the major search engines. Over the last two years, there have been a flood of new sites/companies that have popped-up selling reptiles via e-commerce. Out-of-all the E-Commerce Reptiles Sites, Reptile City was contact by Byron White, owner of www.lifetips.com.
Life Tips was created to assist qualified small businesses in marketing online. Mr. White informed us that our site had been selected by his staff to be the #1 E-Commerce Reptile site online.
Being named as the Life Tips Reptile Guru, doesn't mean anything within the reptile industry. Yet, we feel it is still a great honor to have been chosen from a vast group of competition.
This doesn’t mean that our staff knows any more, or we have better animals than our competitors. It only states that other professionals, not directly involved with the reptile industry, have reviewed thousands of e-commerce sites and agreed that, Reptile City’s service, site look/feel, and product(s) meets their requirements as a guru.
Our goal for the next year is to revise our supply department by giving our customers natural images instead of scanned pictures of the animals and supplies for sale. After doing some of our own reviews, we feel that there are several nice sites online. Yet, the feeling of shopping with a real person while online was not there.
Another thing we have noticed during the review is that the customer has only one choice of e-commerce application, and once on the site, shoppers have to filter through hundreds of items until he/she finds what they’re shopping for.
The owner of Reptile City has designed multiple e-commerce sites, which are linked between each other. This gives you the customer the option of which site is easier to navigate, find the item(s), quickly checkout, and know their personal information is totally secure.
We are also expanding our customer service line from 14 hours a day to a full 24-hour service.
